NatWest CricketForce is the biggest annual volunteering event in UK Sport. It is a volunteering initiative aimed at rejuvenating the nation’s cricket facilities. It encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families, and local businesses the opportunity to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to participate in major renovation projects to clubhouses and grounds.

Participation in NatWest CricketForce has rocketed since its launch in 2002.

Copley was Awarded “National Showcase” Status for NatWest CricketForce in 2012

In 2012 the club was awarded the accolade of being one of three “National Showcase Clubs” by the ECB under the NatWest CricketForce initiative. This was a significant boost to the Club’s development ambitions and the support of the ECB generated significant publicity and media interest. The showcase event on April 1 2012 was also supported by The Cricket Foundation and Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

For our major 2012 initiative local businesses and community partners offered both financial support and “support in kind” and become involved with our NatWest CricketForce event. The showcase project provided high profile publicity to sponsors and the Club and its development ambitions.

Copley Cricket Club would like to thank all of its sponsors and community partners for supporting a major and well publicised construction project for the long term benefit of the local community.
